Omnidirectional Antenna Design Increases Range Antenna Factor is pleased to announce the OM Series of gain antennas. These antennas are designed to increase the range and reliability of wireless links while maintaining an omnidirectional pattern around the circumference of the antenna. This characteristic allows for greater flexibility in the placement of system devices than is often found in typical gain antenna solutions. OM Series antennas also feature rugged, weatherized construction making them well suited for both indoor and
outdoor applications. The antenna includes complete mounting hardware for standard masts. The standard antenna features 7dBi gain. Higher gain versions are available upon request.

POPULAR EMBEDDABLE ANTENNA NOW AVAILABLE FOR MICS BAND Antenna Factor's popular Splatch embeddable antenna is now available in the Medical Implant Communication Service (MICS) frequency band. The antenna is centered at 403MHz and designed to cover from 402-405MHz, making it well suited for MICS as well as a wide variety of general RF applications. By utilizing a proprietary grounded-line technique, the "Splatch" achieves excellent performance in a compact surface mount package. Unlike many compact antennas, the Splatch exhibits good stability in proximity to objects and persons. The antenna is RoHS compliant and designed for hand or automated assembly. It measures 1.1"L x 0.5"W x 0.062"H, exhibits a 50-ohm characteristic impedance, and has a VSWR of less than 1.9.
403 MHz Splatch antennas and evaluation kits will be available in January, 2009.

Tiny Antenna Delivers High Performance In An Unobtrusive Package Antenna Factor's new WRT Series antenna is ideally suited for applications such as wireless vending, security, traffic, or power equipment, which require an unobtrusive, tamper-resistant antenna solution. The tiny 19 x 11mm radome installs through a small hole on the product and is anchored by a threaded base. An adhesive foam compression ring is used to resist the elements. The antenna also features an integral counterpoise, which eliminates the need for a proximity ground plane. WRT Series antennas provide favorable performance characteristics and are available in center frequencies of 868MHz, 916MHz and 2.45GHz. The antenna's coax feed is available with SMA or RP-SMA terminations. Alternate connectors and custom colors are available for volume OEM customers.

Innovative Base Combines GPS and Whip Antennas External Connection Allows a Wide Range of Whip Antennas Antenna Factor is pleased to announce the availability of its innovative RMG dual-band antenna base. The RMG Series combines a high-performance internal GPS antenna with an RP-SMA connector. A wide range of connectorized antennas can be attached to the connector, enabling the coverage of all popular frequencies. The GPS antenna and connector are housed in a sleek, durable base that is intended for permanent through-hole mounting. A 5-meter cable is provided for each antenna and each may be terminated in a variety of standard or custom connector types. The cables feed through a threaded metal post with a flexible compression gasket, which resists the intrusion of water or dirt, and protects the attachment surface. The antenna is ideal for vehicular applications, although its range of applications is virtually unlimited.

Compact Antenna Offers Internal Counterpoise Tilt and Swivel Joint Offers Maximum Flexibility Antenna Factor is pleased to announce its HWR Series half-wave antenna. The new HWR Series is ideal for products requiring a compact, aesthetically pleasing antenna with the ability to tilt 90° and swivel 360°. The antenna is a center-fed dipole with an internal counterpoise, which eliminates external ground plane dependence. It utilizes a helical element to greatly reduce the overall antenna length. It attaches using a standard SMA or FCC-compliant Reverse Polarity SMA connector. Alternate connectors and custom colors are available for volume OEM customers. The HWR Series is available in standard center frequencies of 869 and 916MHz, and has a usable bandwidth of approximately 30MHz.
