Holtek Encoders and DecodersHoltek encoders and decoders are a great choice for low-cost basic remote control applications. The HT658/S and the HT640/S are sold exclusively through Linx and form the basis for the KH Series RF modules and the Holtek-based OEM products. These chips can be combined with the LC or LR Series RF modules to create a mixed system of custom data and encoded data. The 212 Series offers 12 bits of address and data in DIP and SMD packages. The 312 Series also offers 12 bits of address and data, but has tri-state address lines, which offer a much larger number of addresses with the same number of pins. The 318 Series has 18 bits of address and data as well as the tri-state addressing. Data Guides
