How can I extend the range of Linx RF modules?

Each Linx transmitter module is capable of achieving the maximum output power allowed for unlicensed operation under FCC Part 15. In most cases, increasing the output power of the modules would make them illegal. The only legal way to obtain maximum range is by selecting a sensitive receiver, designing a robust protocol with error detection/correction, choosing an efficient antenna (especially on the receiver) and paying careful attention to layout and the antenna's ground counterpoise.
